Dear Sponsor:

I would first like to thank you for your previous support of the Eastern Section AIANC College Scholarship Golf Outing. As you know, this important event helps the Eastern Section fund two $1,500 scholarships to individual students attending the architectural programs at North Carolina State and UNC Charlotte.

In the last four years, this event has raised almost $15,000 to benefit Eastern Section Architects of our future. It has also provided a great day of golf on a championship course and friendly competition for our participants. This years’ event will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2011. The event has steadily grown over the past four years and we are hoping that this will be our best year ever. However, it comes down to people like you, who are willing to give their time and money that really make the difference.

College students are still struggling to obtain part time jobs; architectural offices are still instigating hiring freezes and offering interns less money and work hours. Conversely, college tuition and fees continue to rise as North Carolina struggles with their budget cuts. These students need our help and I hope you can find it in your heart to give once again.

In closing, I want to thank you again for your continued support of this event. I hope you will consider sponsoring a hole for $125 or putting a foursome together for $300 and playing in this year’s outing. Last year we had beautiful weather, great food and everyone had a wonderful time playing the Neuse Golf Course. I hope we can provide the same level of financial commitment for two new students in 2011-12, but it will only happen if we can continue to count on your generous support.

Take care and please feel free to contact me @ 252-227-9844 if you have any questions.
